IV VItamin Therapy
Conveniently located to serve Pembroke Pines.
What is IV therapy?
Intravenous (IV) vitamin therapy is a safe and effective way to deliver nutrients, vitamins, and medications directly into your bloodstream. Unlike traditional oral supplements, IV vitamin therapy has a 100% absorption rate, allowing you to quickly receive hydration and take in larger amounts of vitamins and nutrients. IV therapy bypasses the gastrointestinal system, reducing symptoms such as nausea and heartburn that is commonly associated with taking vitamins by mouth.
How can IV therapy benefit me?
The providers at Dr. Thrower’s MedSpa have developed specialized regimens to fit your aesthetic and wellness needs. Our regimens include formulas for hair regrowth, skin lightening, skin complexion, weight loss, wound healing, athletic performance, libido and much more. IV therapy allows for a larger amount of vitamins to be absorbed in a shorter period of time. Optimal hydration is achieved due to the vitamins being infused in a fluid bag. IV therapy is most effective with a well-balanced lifestyle and diet.

IV Therapy Pre-Treatment:
How to Prepare for Your Infusion
Hydrate
It is essential to have adequate hydration prior to your appointment. When your body is dehydrated, your veins contract. This may make it difficult to insert the IV catheter. An IV catheter must be inserted to receive IV therapy.
Have a snack
Having a small snack prior to your infusion will ensure your blood sugar levels are stable. A snack will help avoid any nausea or lightheadedness that may occur during and after your infusion.
Avoid certain medications
Try to avoid taking any over-the-counter vasoconstricting drugs such as antihistamines or decongestants. These include Claritin, Allegra, Sudafed, and other similar medications. Prescription medications such as blood pressure medications can cause vasoconstriction, but should be taken as prescribed by your provider. If this is the case, please ensure adequate hydration prior to your appointment.
Dress comfortably
Appointments generally last 30-60 minutes. You will want to wear something that you will be comfortable sitting in for that period of time. Try your best to wear something that will expose your arm because that is where the IV catheter will be placed.
